have a cuppa tea

No the dog isn't dead. She's just used to Westley's shenanigans.

musical magic electric guitars

Dinner and music.
Jamming to Cow and Chicken.

Grandmother's magic electric guitar.
Nobody knew it would take her so far.
From Oslo to Glasgow,
she james all night long.
Her fans hold their hands up
before every song.

One tune they adore is called "Eardrum Surprise."
In the crowd it's so loud
you get tears in your eyes.

Keep rockin',
dear Grandma,
wherever you are.
On that musical magic electric guitar.

Happy Birthday dear Ma (Grandma) wherever you are.

more summer fun

We had a great vacation. We had time off with the kids and an added bonus of a visit from Grammy & Grampy.

First off was an early birthday present for Westley:

A ride on a Chattanooga choo-choo. Nowhere near Chattanooga really, but beautiful nonetheless.

Swimming in the hole. Went to the swimming hole. I guess the latter sounds better.

And a small hike afterward...

And some more summer bocce.

As alluded to before, we are having a wonderful summer. Buttercup decided that we should go to Chattanooga for her birthday outing. We had a lovely brunch at Rembrandt's and a got to see Ice Age 3-D. Very fun. Chattanooga is one of our favorite places to hang. I couldn't resist this metal sculpture picture.

Beautiful gardens and buildings everywhere.

Getting ready for the movie and styling all at the same time.

Westley's been learning to swim and is doing great. We've been enjoying the pool at Desoto State Park.
It's a towel head. "Look at my hair mom!"
Happy that the Walrus got to take him to swim lessons one day.
Doggies hanging out.
Westley learning to play Bocce.
As most of you know I work at home. This is what happens when Westley is left to his own devices (includes a song apparently).

Next week, we're on vacation with several day trips planned and a visit from Grammy and Grampy. Yippee!

july 4th festivities

Well, it'll be official. Our website at geocities will be shut down in October. We'll pick up where we left off and post updates here for now.
We went to Desoto State Park and took part in the flag making contest. That's our friend who found Holly back in the fall when Holly decided to take a 10 day hiatus.

We took a hike that day too.

On July 2nd, we saw fireworks from the top of the mountain. We only had to walk a couple of stones' throws to enjoy the festivities. Not sure why the town did it on a Thursday night, so we enjoyed sparklers on Saturday night. Nick's new obsession is Cow & Chicken, he's wearing the shirt from when I worked for Cartoon Network long ago.

A good time was had by all.
